Announcing our new product!
Tuesday, March 25, 2008
While it will be several days before we officially announce our news, effective last week, we came to terms with our friends over at Advenio and will soon begin republishing MacGourmet. We will be rebranding the Deluxe version of the product and expect to roll it out as a Mariner app in the Spring/Summer timeframe. I can't go into a lot of detail quite yet but this will be a great addition to our product line. If you have never checked out MacGourmet before, feel free to download a demo over at the Advenio site and discover just how impressive this product is.
Stay tuned!
Mike

How funny. Already a Mariner fan, and MacBook is the 2nd product to join the Mariner line that I already own (the first being Avenir.)
Sounds like a great addition to Mariner's product line.
I'm a weekend chef and I have to admit I've never heard of MacGourmet. I'll check things out and report back. Congratulations.
I've been looking for a good cooking app for my wife. Maybe this is it.
We have been researching this market for quite some time and MacGourmet is clearly the best. We have a ton of great features coming for the future too. Give it a test drive and let me know what you think.

Two words.
Freakin cool!

A friend told me about this, I just downloaded it. Very cool, I know what to get my wife & daughter for their birthdays this year. The old recipe box doesn't do it any more.
I have been a MacGourmet fan for quite a while now. I use this program regularly and have been extremely impressed both with the program AND with the support from Advenio. I am looking forward to the Deluxe Version and seeing what Mariner can do to make it even more impressive!
Very nice! I was wondering if this was from the same company that also did SQL Grinder, and yes, indeed it is! I had heard of MacGourmet before, but never had much use for it before.
But considering I've been getting pretty heavily into baking my own breads and saving various recipes, I finally downloaded MacGourmet and gave it a shot. Wow! Great program, wonderful feel, and the print outs are beautiful. And the price is very reasonable, considering the insane amount of work that appears to have gone into this program.
I hope this partnership works out well for everyone.
If you are interested, I made a French localization for this applciation. It as sent to the author, but its integration was delayed since he had a couple of issues he wanted to address first.
I've also sent a first rough German Translation to Advenio which already is doing not a great but good job, but only for new databases.
The MacWorld coverage said that current MacGourmet users would be offered an upgrade to Deluxe when it ships, but Mariner's press release did not mention upgrading. Should I wait to buy, or will there be an upgrade price available?
