For you MacJournal 4 users out there, you may have noticed something a little different today with the application icon in your dock - yes, that would be an Easter egg...or, better yet, a Halloween egg, that Dan included.
Just making sure you are paying attention. :-)
Happy Halloween.

We've been asked a few times to show some pics of the office here at Mariner HQ and I finally got around to snapping some photos. Being that we are such a virtual company, we didn't have anyone in the office at the time but you'll get a sense of where we work (and play) everyday. The shot of downtown Minneapolis is out my window this rainy morning (the crane on the right side of the picture is where the new Twins ball park is being built. Full disclosure, my photographic skills are limited. :-)
On a more relevant note, we have been getting a ton of emails on whether we will be Leopard compatible when it is released later this month. The answer is, absolutely. Being Apple developers we have been testing beta builds internally for some time but no one really knows what the final product will look like until it ships on 10/26. Look for a plethora of developers to claim their compaibility on or slightly after the release. Us included.

If you think one or more of our products are worthy of such a designation, we'd greatly appreciate your help in spreading the word. This year, there are four readers choice awards and our products would fall into two of the categories:
* Third-Party Software of the Year: Any application across the wide array of software categories--audio, video, digital imaging, utilities, games, and more--can be nominated here. (Montage)
* Mac Gem of the Year: As our Mac Gems weblog illustrates every week, great software doesn't necessarily have to come from giant companies; sometimes, the best apps out there appear with little fanfare. We'd like to help those programs get a little more recognition, so let us hear about your favorite under-$50 apps. (MacJournal, Mariner Write, Mariner Calc)
If you would like to nominate any of our products, drop an email to the folks at Macworld with the product name and the category. Here is the email address...
If you are around the Los Angeles Airport Marriott, make sure you stop on by our booth. We also have a few break out sessions being held where Corey Johnson, our Director of Product Development, will be demonstrating Montage 1.3.
