Betas Squared

Last Friday we released two betas to the public: Montage for Mac OS X and WinJournal for, uhhh, you guessed it, Windows. I'm finding the feedback of our respective beta teams very intriguing and am wondering if it is OS-influenced. With as much momentum Apple has now (less the Leopard delay announcement), it just seems to me our beta team on the Mac side has more passion and enthusiasm than our team on the Windows side. It's not that the feedback that we get from the Windows team is unuseful, quite the opposite. From what we've seen, these guys know their stuff. What I don't hear in their calls or read in their emails is that certain vigor that Mac users seem to have. This isn't a shot at Windows users, just an observation from one guy. As a company, we have spent the last 16 years in the Mac industry and clearly are learning some subtle and not-so-subtle differences between users from each respective OS. Maybe this is normal?
